March 25th: Technical Visit to Isla de la Cartuja

The BeFlexible’s Workshop in Seville starts with a technical visit to the most unique buildings on Isla de la Cartuja. This visit offers a rare opportunity to explore architectural innovations and understand their impact on energy efficiency and sustainability.

We will gather at Torre Sevilla, an iconic skyscraper known for its modern design and stunning views. From there, e-distribución will provide transportation throughout the tour, ensuring a comfortable and seamless experience as we delve into the architectural wonders of Isla de la Cartuja.

March 26th: Workshop at Torre Sevilla

The BeFlexible’s Workshop in Seville continues on March 26th with a workshop at Torre Sevilla, located on the 18th floor. This workshop will feature a series of presentations and discussions on various topics related to flexibility and regulation in the energy sector.

BeFlexible Pilot Tests: Pioneering Energy Flexibility

BeFlexible project and its concepts will be demonstrated and validated in several and diverse environments, in terms of types of consumers, geographical and climate areas and energy loads.

A heterogeneous group of 12 pilots will be deployed in 4 different countries (Italy, Sweden, Spain and France) that have been selected to cover a broad range of energy behaviours consumers and grid typologies and to test the solutions in distinct regulatory environments and in alignment with national plans for the energy transition in 2030.

The main goal of these pilots will be to assess the impact of the services, platforms and architectures, to validate the consumer engagement strategies to enabling a proper interaction among all energy actors and fostering the market uptake.

The different pilots are located in 3 different demos structured by climatic areas (South-Mid EU, North EUand South-West EU) covering EU’s different representative climates

Achievements and Future Goals

As we move into 2025, BeFlexible has already achieved significant milestones in energy flexibility. The project has made substantial progress in regulatory and technical advancements, particularly in the development of digital platforms that facilitate the integration of flexible energy solutions. These platforms are crucial for enabling real-time data exchange and enhancing the coordination between various energy stakeholders.

In 2024, BeFlexible successfully launched an online course on energy flexibility, providing valuable insights to professionals and enthusiasts alike. This initiative aims to empower stakeholders to adopt innovative energy practices and contribute to a more flexible and resilient energy system.
